At this time of year many people make New Year’s Resolutions that they intend to keep through the next year, in this case 2014.  We thought we’d join in by suggesting certain resolutions that you could make that have to do with ductless air conditioning and heat pumps.  Of course we expect that not too many people will be compelled to make their own resolutions having to do with regular or ductless air conditioners and heat pumps, but we wanted to have a little fun with the topic just the same.  Here goes:

1. If you have already installed ductless air conditioning or heat pumps, resolve to tell people the effects of this choice.  Spread the word about how well ductless worked, or how quiet it is, or how it managed to reach areas you did not expect it to reach.  Let people know what you think of you ductless air conditioner or heat pump so others with homes that lack ductwork can benefit.

2. If you have not installed a ductless heat pump or air conditioner yet, resolve to notice whether your current system is as effective in either heating or cooling your home as you’d like.  Specifically notice areas that your current system does not reach, or ways that it is not efficient or effective.  Imagine the difference that a ductless air conditioning or heat pump system would make.

3. If you’ve only installed either a ductless heat pump or a ductless air conditioning system, resolve to wonder about the other half of ductless.  Notice how your home would be different if you added either cooling or heating, and continue to do your homework about the possibilities for each.

4. Finally, no matter whether ductless air conditioners or heat pumps are what you are wondering about, or even whether you are looking into a conventional system, resolve to be more efficient with your energy use.  A highly efficient cooling and/or heating system is a great start.
